Dr. Ife Williams is a Political Science and Africana History Professor at Deleware County Community College in Pennsylvania. Her manuscript, Police Brutality: A Philadelphia Story (2023) tells a centuries-long history of policing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania through the 1980s. Dr. Williams is the recipient of a 2022 "Mellon/ACLS Community College Faculty Fellowship" for her immense digital humanities project mapping slave revolts and resistance against enslavement across the African Diaspora over a 200-year period. Dr. Williams is the past President of the African Heritage Studies Association (2018-2021), and a Fulbright scholar who has represented the United States in Tanzania and Barbados.
