April Merleaux

April Merleaux is a researcher and campaigner with expertise in climate change, trade policy, and fossil fuels. Before joining SiC, she coordinated the coalition that produced the annual Banking on Climate Chaos report, a highly cited resource tracking global bank financing for fossil fuel companies. She was formerly an Associate Professor of Environmental & Historical Studies at Hampshire College, Visiting Faculty in Environmental Studies at Williams College, and Associate Professor of History at Florida International University. Her research has been published by the University of North Carolina Press, and in the journals Environmental History, Labor: Studies in Working Class History, and the International Labor & Working Class History.
